Career Education Alfie was received in 1985 as a public accountant at the University of the Republic, where he also, years later he would receive in Economics. At the university he served as assistant professor in the Department of Economics, Faculty of Economics and Administration, which issued the Basic Macroeconomics matter. He also served as a teacher at ORT University and the University of Belgrano in Argentina. He currently teaches Macroeconomics II at the University of Montevideo (UM). In 1985 he went to work in the Office of Planning and Budget with the post of adviser. In 1991 became the Ministry of Economy and Finance as an advisor in the area of macroeconomics and in 1995 began leading the Macroeconomic Advisory. Uruguay also represented in several negotiations with international organizations, as it has completed the Uruguayan public debt rescheduling in 2003.He was also consultant to the Inter-American Development Bank, World Bank, the Pan American Health Organization and the World Health Organization. In the private sector was a management consultant, especially in the areas of financial and cost analysis, and study investment projects.
