Lisbon: City Tours

Has been found only once a property in Lisbon, it is time to explore the city. At the Tourist Information (Airport, Praça do Comércio, etc.) we obtain maps drawn with recommendations for walks through the city. It is worthwhile to pay the Port Wine Institute at Rua de Sao Pedro de Alcantara 45 (right across from the vantage point “Miradouro Sao Pedro de Alcantara”) a visit. For little money can be sampled at the 200 different varieties. The Institute is open weekdays from 14 to 24 Clock. Recommended is a trip on the Electrico 28, a historic tram that winds its way through the narrow alleys of Old Town. Since the tram is very popular with tourists and also acts as a normal means of transport even the locals are a few seats fill up quickly. To get a seat, it is advisable to begin the journey at the starting point of the line – the subway station Martin Moniz – too. And one last comment on the brink: unfortunately also use a variety of pockets and that the popularityCrowding in the tram to go about their business. So make sure their valuables! The tram runs on viewpoint “Miradouro the Santa Lucia over,” from where one has a beautiful view over the river Tagus and the sea of houses of the Old Town. Another observation deck, the “viewpoint and there Sr. Do Monte” is situated very close, he is also listed on the map of the tourist office. This viewpoint is less touristy and comes up with an even more beautiful sight. At sunset an absolute adventure! At this point goes a big thank you to Fred Lopez, the operator of the Olisipo hostels in Lisbon for this tip.
